Rock Band Pro vs. Rocksmith - November 2012

The penultimate battle. And this one's a toughie.

    Rock Band
Dave Matthews Band - Ants Marching
    Kenny Loggins - Footloose
    Green Day - American Idiot
Green Day - When I Come Around
    Allman Brothers Band - Jessica
The Band - The Weight (Live)
Marcy Playground - Sex and Candy

    Rocksmith
    Rush - Headlong Flight
    Rush - Limelight
    Rush - Red Barchetta
    Rush - Subdivisions
    Rush - Tom Sawyer
    Rush - YYZ
Parliament - Give Up The Funk
    Rick James - Super Freak
    Chic - Good Times

Rock Band had more variety and generally better lines than the repetitive funk pack, but Rocksmith had Headlong Flight.

No, I would still give it to Rock Band. As I said, only one song thus far has swayed a month in its favour, and if Rocksmith gets it, it's all over.

So now we're down to the final stretch. Rocksmith has promised to unleash three weeks in a row, possibly starting with Pantera. RB is leading on a comparatively weak foot IMO. Who will emerge on top and be worthy of Lowlander's Great Christmas MSP Splurge?

Rocksmith, based solely on Headlong Flight being in it. Shame on HMX for not having it earlier.

I'm actually going Rock Band this month, not a an of Rush, and Rock Band just has the better songs.

This is definitely a tie. Even with the Rocksmith repeat (Jessica) RB's re-release of Green Day with Pro is as huge deal, and a great thing for any beginner guitarist.

    Here's YYZ

Very tough call. RB3 got "I'm Alright" and "Jessica." RS got "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight."

    I'm calling it a tie.
It's all right. Everything will work out fine.

My vote goes for Rock Band, whose pro guitar selection last month contained some songs I like, whereas Rocksmith's didn't.

I usually vote Rocksmith but clearly the winner is Rock Band this month.
    DLC:
    ☑ Heart (MOAR!)
    ☑ Matchbox 20
    ☑ Elton John (MOAR!)

    ☐ Muse
    ☐ Dire Straits X
    ☐ Wallflowers X
    PS3: All DLC+PRO + 257 RBN

Rock Band wins by far because of Green Day.
    Wishlist (possible artists):
    [4] The Killers
    [1] The Cure
    [7] AFI
    [3] Sum 41
    [11] Linkin Park
    [51] Green Day
    [9] The Offspring
