    Freeeware video game discussion

We're all gamers, we all have computers, and we all love free stuff. I want more games, and I want to share some cool free games with you guys. Here's a list of some of my favorites, and please give some of your own too!
    • Cave Story - A 2D shooter adventure with fantastic music
    • Eversion - A cutesy platformer that slowly transforms into a Lovecraft-based horror game
    • Every Extend - The predecessor to Every Extend Extra and Every Extend Extra Extreme
    • Barkley: Shut Up And Jam Gaiden - In a post-apocalyptic New York, you play Charles Barkley on the run from the law (up there in the same level of humor as Monkey Island, though definitely not the same comedic style)
    • Super Crate Box - Super dynamic game that essentially consists of "shoot the bad guys! Don't die! Here's a bunch of different types of guns!"
    • the Karoshi series - Two flash games and a couple of freeware. It's a puzzle platformer series that has puzzles that throw continuity in the garbage and keep you thinking while trying to cope with its bizarre rules.

    Phase Shift.

It's like Frets On Fire (which itself is a knockoff of Guitar Hero/Rock Band), but has a lot more features, including realistic drums with hihat support, snare rim hits and everything; pro guitar and bass; keyboard and as many players available as your computer can handle (oh, and they can play any instrument they want even if it's taken). It supports custom songs, and their forum has plenty of free songs already that are fully licensed and work as good as Rock Band DLC.

I love your avatar horsepastriesa and I now read everything you post in BMO's voice.

    Anyway, on topic:
I'm not sure if flash games count but I spent a good month addicted to Konregate.com and found a few fantastic games on there. My favorites were Continuity, Red Remover, and this RPG where you played as an elephant. I don't remember the name...

Getting off topic, I've learned from fan fiction that there's really no wrong way to write for BMO because it will always sound like something BMO would say.

Ugh... haven't been on Kongregate in two years. I like some of the games that are put up there, but sometimes the community can be a little mean.

Anyway, I'd have to go with Marfitude being my favorite freeware game. It's like amplitude, but it supports .MOD files and automatically converts them to marfitude format.

    Definitely Tyrian: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyrian_(video_game)

It's a fantastic top-down sidescrolling shooter with support for two player co-op.
