I just noticed that Toadies on Rock Band World is #233 of most requested bands. Oh well.
SPREAD THE LOVE!!
I realize you gotta go with whoever will sell you the rights to Rockband-ize a song. I'll check it out (don't remember this group).
I'm still finding stuff that interests me on RBN so I'm not whining -- but it is starting to get a bit odd that so many iconic rock tunes that would get a sales boost from being added to the list haven't been.
This is actually one of the better guitar songs played to death on alternative rock radio in the 1990s-00s. In my opinion it's right up with the Black Crowes for some of the best new rock coming out of the Nineties. My only complaint is the refrain can get annoying.
Could we get some Meat Puppets soon!
None of this matters a whit to the listener. Music either speaks to you, or it doesn't. You can justify your preferences any way you want but in practice they're just that: justifications. You can't objectively compare different metrics (is a recording from a Stradivarius better than a recording from Bösendorfer?) and thinking too much about music can rob it of its magic. Enjoy what you like, and don't worry too much about why.
Obligatory DLC Wishlist:
The The - The Cure - Depeche Mode - Tori Amos
Oingo Boingo - Tones On Tail - Tom Waits
I knew the band existed, don't know the songs (and it hit my HS years). I'll pass. They're not bad, but they haven't grown on me, so I'll wait for something more my speed.
