This thread and some extrapolation. Song's had one of the best debuts in a long time.

Rockband scores doesn't track folks if they don't play it, or only play it on blitz.

I had never heard of "Away" until researching the pack for livestream discussion, but it turns out it was their only other charting single, which likely played a strong roll in track selection. Band and labels like promoting their most well known songs and, unsurprisingly, those are generally the songs that most people buy.

    Here is your pack.

No drums for me until next week. Without keys, that'll make it...interesting.

    Guitar:

    1. Away: Simple: The lead riff is better and more varied, and you play more of it than Possum Kingdom.
    2. Possum Kingdom: Miles better than the GH2 chart.
    3. Tyler: You play that one chord switching pattern for the majority of the song. Gets old.

    Vocals:

    1. Possum Kingdom: Surprisingly tricky even though I know the song like the back of my hand.
    2. Away: Hey da da da da da da dum
    3. Tyler: Quite a few break where you sing nothing, up until a fast combo close to the end.

    Random chart opinions:

Aside from the GS limit for guitar being weirdly strict (missed like one note on Away and I still didn't get it), the genre is listed as Grunge. This wouldn't be bad if Marcy Playground wasn't listed as Alternative. I'd switch the two bands' genres in a heartbeat.

    Musical opinions:

I listened to all of Rubberneck. Some moments of blistering energy that may or may not have influenced SoaD, but other than that, I found it rather unremarkable, especially opposed to that other classic 1994 alternative record I listened to that day.

Overall, better than I feared it was going to be. Had they replaced Tyler with I Come Out The Water, or *gasp* made it a four pack, it might have been top of the non-keys packs.

The drums are all pretty close together in terms of fun to play. I'd say Away>Possum Kingdom> Tyler. but they're all so close together even though they're pretty different from each other.

it's pretty much your basic 3-4 tier drum chart. nice beat to keep you busy, occasional double snare hit, occasional (not too fast) double bass kick. and some easy fills.

    7.5/10

After seeing the lyrics for Possum Kingdom I get this creepy feeling it is really about rape or necrophilia... am I on to something on this or am I reading to much into it or?

There's a few theories on what it's about, none of them particularly wholesome.
