I miss Guitar Hero. It had some pretty fun features, a few Rock band adopted. I still think the animations/direction in GH5 and 6 were top notch, beyond anything RB3 could be.

Prediction? Next gen everything will come in full circle, a guitar only music simulation game for a fairly cheap price. If it takes off, it will expand into a full band experience again. As fun as Rocksmith is, it's not for gamers, only guitar enthusiasts.

I liked that I could play GH as my Xbox avatar. It was nice of them to give the option of not looking at their butt-ugly characters.

The main thing that turned me off the franchise though was all the damn advertising. The KFC buckets and Subway signs really bugged me.

Last one I bought was World Tour. I rented GH5 and my brother bought a guitar that came with Band Hero, okay he bought the Band Hero bundle but only cause it was $20 and he needed a new guitar.

I thought the drums in GH:M were pretty bad. Trying to play any song with a disco beat on the stock RB drums was a nightmare. They just didn't even try to make certain beats comfortable. Red HAD to be snare no matter what.

GH5 and GH2 had the best setlists, but every full band game in the series with a small exception of GHM and GH5 were pretty horrendous, and even then the better Neversoft titles were all fairly mediocre games.

There were only a couple of (non bonus) songs I disliked in GH2 and GH2, only 1 I disliked in 80s (and even that one wasn't horrible), and none I disliked in Aerosmith. Every other one has had quite a few duds mixed in with the awesome ones

Don't get me wrong, there were many duds in GH5, but they either grew on me, or just didn't really come up much.

I found a few songs that i'd never heard of and really enjoyed.... Man I want to play L.A. now :/
