I'm guessing Aaron will tell us something about how stupidly difficult this week was licensing-wise, considering ISS is the first non-Green Day song to be both game soundtrack and store DLC.

An Elton pack without Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me would be pretty stupid.

It's probably his most well known song; Harmonix tend to (90% of the time) release the band's major song when they get DLC. Nirvana were a weird exception, so were Bare Naked Ladies... but most of the time... yeah.

Huh. It's. Chicago and Matchbox 20 all over again. I assume Benny and the Jets was supposed to be a 4th song here (and get the pro-upgrade) but isn't here cause the team is still trying to figure out the real lyrics.

Oh well. This could have been amazing and is now only cool. I'll be getting the two I don't have yet.

Complaining should be ignored. Polite inquiry about the the licensing process / song selection / possible additional DLC by this week's artist seems to get addressed fairly rapidly, when the mods are available.

Actually, no, most times complaining is also addressed just as if it was a polite inquiry. These mods really do have the patience of a saint*.

Aside from being a nice accomodation for Wii users (who still don't have the majority of the Blitz songs), my theory is that HMX licensed all three songs at once and only put I'm Still Standing in Blitz.

There might be some truth in that. I believe that was the same for every other Blitz artist that got licensed for DLC pre-emptively. Not just because of convenience, but also because the chart quality of each Blitz song seems to be in line with DLC songs of the same artist.

Shout had venue effects as intricate as Head Over Heels, and Diamond Eyes only had half-instances of harmony animations, much like Bully from the previous pack. The P!nk, Foster The People, AAR and so on songs had equal chart quality to their DLC counterparts.

No, I will never stop bringing it up completely.

Yawn! Not my genre. All I can think about is Carlton (Fresh Prince show) doing his funny dance while I'm Still Standing is playing.

Here we go again, releasing music that is already out. HMX obviously didn't catch enough flack about the last time they did it. I am one of the harshest critics of this behavior, and will continue to be. Maybe you should work on releasing the songs that didn't get exported from the other disks. If you're not going to actually map new music, that would be something!

I keep reading people complain "Why would I buy the pack", and find myself asking...

"WHY IS THAT A PROBLEM?!?!"

How about... you DON'T buy the pack if you bought Blitz, buy the two songs, and save yourself $1.50?!?!

I'm disappointed there's only two song, but are we really complaining because we're not being given a chance to give HMX less money for more songs here?

Yay for those that didn't buy Blitz or are on the Wii... because, really... all of this kvetching is just a big middle finger to those people who acually ARE probably happy for "I'm Still Standing" coming as DLC.

After some thought, I'm guessing I'll be buying both songs for the wife...
