PSN had a Christmas Day update, and they'll have one Jan 2nd, so...why exactly do we have to wait 2 goddamn weeks to get anything?

This is one of the reasons I stopped playing RB in the first place, bull**** Xbox preferential treatment. Barely anyones playing your ****ing game anymore as it is, hows about getting those of us that do the **** on time with everyone else.

Blame Sony not Harmonix. The update on Christmas was all first party stuff. Harmonix isnt first party.

Fair enough, but PS users could have gotten it a week early for once, and that still doesn't explain why it won't be included in the update on the 2nd. For Christ sake, the Wii is getting an update before PS3, that's just insulting.

Maybe because they werent done then or they werent done in time to go through cert and what not? The second update hasnt happened yet maybe that will be all first party as well. Im positive that if Harmonix could put these songs out sooner they would.

The update on the 2nd is likely just Sony taking priority for 3rd party military shooters and other more popular games than RB.

I dunno, maybe you're right, it just seems to me like ever since the Viacom sale, the massive success of Dance Central and Activisions killing of the music game genre things around HMX have gotten lazy in regards to Rock Band. I'm sure as an independent studio it's harder to get a lot of the most requested bands and tracks, and it's just goddamn frustrating. Especially so after having to spend way more than I wanted to put a collection of instruments back together to play it at all.

I want to give them my money, but the increased number of horrible pop songs and making us wait to get stuff Xbox had 2 weeks ago isn't making that decision any easier.

This happens pretty much every year around this time. It's not HMX's fault, and frankly they don't owe you (or me) anything in any case.

Besides which, the fact that you're complaining about the "increased number of pop songs" released lately means you're not buying very much DLC of late, which doesn't exactly give Harmonix a whole lot of extra reasons to listen to your complaints.

If there's anything PS3 Rock Band players should be complaining about, it's the absolutely awful new PSN store that makes it very difficult to find newly released Rock Band tracks.
