Still, one can't deny that's a pretty big drop off from fourteen 6+ packs in 2011 to just one in 2012.
I must have quoted your post without refreshing and didn't notice the edit(took me a while to go through the numbers and I took a break while doing it). But yeah it was the year with the most 6 packs if 14 is correct. But I did support the sentiment with my other statement.

I kind of feel let down reading the OP.

After all those stats, I was hoping there would be something like "...and we went another year without Muse DLC and survived".
May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?

Yep, thanks for the catch. I remembered looking it up correctly then must have forgotten by the time I put it in the text file.

    ...

It's not all about Muse. I mean, I get that you're mostly kidding, but still. There were <looks up> 100 other bands that came out this year.
Who doesn't love a good album sort? Fill in those 3's HMX!

Okay, made a couple of edits, including reducing the number of pro guitar releases by 1. I had gone out on a limb and assumed that Andrew W.K.'s "Party Hard" would get pro-ified, but alas, no such luck.

I have a question about the "Previously Only on a RB Title, Finally DLC" section.

Shouldn't Sum 41 be listed up there under Lego RB?

There are now 29 artists (including the Sounds) in Rock Band 3 that have had no DLC released.

Why do The Sounds merit special mention?

Probably because their DLC was a cover. I believe he counted The Black Crowes as a new artist this year as well because their song was a cover too.

Good catch! And now that you mention it, I think I forgot Korn.

That is correct. I will clarify that note.

Is "2112" by Rush considered 2012 or 2011? It came out in 2011 (Dec. 31) on 360, but in 2012 on PS3 (Jan. 3, full version not available on Wii).

    um, yes?

XBL release = Official release date for songs. With I think 1 exception when the PS3 actually got something first due to XBL maintinance.
