You can assign whatever genre you wish to any song, it doesn't change the song or who will listen to it. When I hear "Every Rose Has a Thorn" coming from my wife's country station, it proves that opinion on genre is everything.

I always find it a bit odd when there is a song that everyone talks about that I've never even heard. I mainly listen to satellite, Boneyard and Octane. Both are undoubtedly rock stations. None of these songs play on either station. I do admit Party Hard is a "rock" song, one may even argue hard rock. But I had never heard it and my 16 yr son had never heard it.

As I stated earlier, it appears that I am the one out of touch. But it doesn't change that I won't be buying any of these.
Well people can hear songs from other places than the radio. I don't even think most people listen to the radio that much anymore, noone I know honestly listens to radio and uses more web services like Spotify, iTunes and Grooveshark for their music needs. I find most of my music through friends and the RBN actually heh

As for Elton John, he is defiantly a rock artist. He is building on the rock n' roll genre with what he does and is playing music that is revolved around electric guitars, bass and organic drums. How is it not rock? Because he tend to have piano and horns along to it? If that's so then Queen, Chicago and 99% of all Prog Rock bands ever can't be considered Rock either.

Also if it is your opinion that these songs are not something for you, fine, but your opinion on the listenability of something should not define it's genre. That's like saying all electronic artists you don't like are Techno and all those you like are New Wave no matter what they are.

So youre saying no more 2 song weeks? These are frekin horrible. 5 out of the last 8 weeks have been only 2 new songs.

Tonight Tonight makes me want to punch a hole through my lap top...what a terrible song. 0 this week.

Don't tell anyone, but I would totally buy that pack.

And yet, that would be a bad move for Harmonix, from a sales standpoint. Stuff from the (current) pop charts seems to sell relatively well, although I always feel like I need to have autotune in order to come close to sounding like the track.

So lets see how well Tonight Tonight and Party Hard sell - I predict both sell tremendously well. The usual wham-bulance calls in here.

If you want a pack of 20 songs buy Blitz, support the big packs and maybe you will see more.

I didn't think the discussion forum had merged with the facebook comments section this week.

Also, not everyone buys Pro Upgrades. How about we speak to the positives like all tracks have PRO keys.

And how would those who purchased the Rock Band Blitz arcade game and exported the songs to Rock Band 3 go about downloading ONLY the pro upgrades?

When those Pro upgrades are released, people that downloaded Blitz should see the tracks marked as "Purchased" in the store, allowing them to buy upgrades without rebuying the tracks. It should work exactly the same way as the recent wave of Green Day DLC / GDRB exports handled Pro upgrades.

The same way Green Day pro upgrades were purchased I imagine.
