I really hope I luck out and Rick Springfield gets a pack.

I kinda knew that we weren't going to get a fun. pack but it still stings.

Not having Some Nights is rather unfortunate, since I know one of my friends LOVES that song and we've been getting together for Rock Band parties, so that would help. Oh well.

But, early next year, we'll have a few weeks with 2 Pro upgrades to balance it out. There are upgrades coming for several of the Blitz singles as well as a few other surprises.
I'm not quite sure how I feel about this. Are the weeks with 2 pro upgrades packs of a single artist? Because that could be either really awesome or really bad depending on the artist. Oh well, I guess I'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Tonight, Tonight by The Smashing Pumpkins is indeed excellent.

    Would neeeever have guessed that!

Well I agree with Todd in The Shadows about Tonight Tonight being the worst pop song of 2011, so a big pass on that, but Party Hard will be a welcome addition to my collection.

I don't care for Party Hard. I had always heard of the song, but never actually listened to it. Its very annoying, and seems like it will be boring on all instruments except vocals (and even then it sounds like all screaming.) The song sounds like something Foo Fighters would put out, just not as awesome lol.

I'm really excited about Tonight, Tonight! It's fun, upbeat, and very catchy. Definitely was one of my favorites before it came to RB, and I'll like it even more that it's on the game.

I have both We are Young and Raise Your Glass. Hate We are Young, Raise Your Glass is meh.

I hope the two that get full packs are Shinedown and RHCP. Iron Maiden and Foo Fighters could please me as well.

I will take both and not complain if it means another Iron Maiden pack

Quite a luke warm reception to DLC as of late... i guess the changes weve had recently with DLC featuring Blitz tracks is starting to really negate many alternate choices for those who already bought Blitz - telling especially when My Chemical Romance and Elton John you would assume to be the kind of artists people want in the game as DLC. Pro situation doesnt help many either i guess.

Still i actually remember this was the time of year when you were waiting with bitten nails for the lamest weeks ever and by that i mean going from five or six songs a wekk to three or even one song efforts as the new year started - this year again no different in that sense even if the scenario itself is different in regards to how its laming out for many.

As for the DLC itself... im good with Andrew WK as it was a song i expected years ago to show up but gave up when it well - didnt. Surprised Pink effort came as just a standalone - had assumed maybe HMX licensed more of her as shes a big draw for parties for the game IMO but overall it is indeed a week where i will be buying just a single song. Bring on 2013 (Static X, Megadeth, Iron Maiden and Muse please HMX)
Hoping for more british music on RB Blitz

Again, you are mistaken. The way that HMX assigns a genre to any given song is their opinion, not fact, and possibly not the band's opinion.

You can assign whatever genre you wish to any song, it doesn't change the song or who will listen to it. When I hear "Every Rose Has a Thorn" coming from my wife's country station, it proves that opinion on genre is everything.

I always find it a bit odd when there is a song that everyone talks about that I've never even heard. I mainly listen to satellite, Boneyard and Octane. Both are undoubtedly rock stations. None of these songs play on either station. I do admit Party Hard is a "rock" song, one may even argue hard rock. But I had never heard it and my 16 yr son had never heard it.

As I stated earlier, it appears that I am the one out of touch. But it doesn't change that I won't be buying any of these.

Hot Chelle Rae seems like an awfully weird choice for this week. They don't have any punctuation marks in their name.
