Henry, is it possible to know how far out dlc has been planned for? I understand you can't strait up tell us, but if there is any indication of this train coming to a stop, it would be good to know. I'm more of an optimist, so I'd like to think we aren't running out of fuel till a whiles down the road, but others in the community seem to be pessimistic towards the situation.
    DLC Wishlist
    Fall Out Boy [7]
    Elton John [5]
    The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus [1]
    Mayday Parade [2]
    Sara Bareilles [0]

I was once told by Henry that dlc wouldn't be pulled out from under us like a rug, let's see if that's still true.

What weeks will be the packs? Sorry for the duplicate question.

Can you tell us if HMX is still intent on pursuing additional songs/bands as DLC, or if this will simply be runout?

Henry said they plan on releasing the Blitz songs every week spread out over the next 3 months, so I'd say that's a decent indicator that there's at least 3 more months of DLC on the way.

I'd say it won't last much longer than that anyway. I said before I'd be surprised if it lasted until the end of 2013, now I'd be surprised if it lasts past March especially considering these other "projects" HMX is working on and based on what I've read, are not RB related whatsoever. If you read between the lines, the tables are turning and HMX are putting less resources and production effort into RB and are putting them elsewhere rather.

I'm optimistic, but what I'm reading and what I think is that the plug is getting primed to be pulled sometime this year. I'd rather them just tell it straight rather than beating the bush like this. We're getting politically correct answers when people want the "this is how it's going down" answers.

What if this is the rug?

I don't see this as a slowing down of DLC. As it seems, the bi-weekly Blitz releases are not a sign of a slow down, but of Harmonix giving those who couldn't or didn't want to purchase Blitz the opportunity to purchase the content they want. Because of the inconvenience of releasing all the Blitz tracks at once, the next best way to pump out the Blitz songs in the fastest and most efficienct way is to release them bi-weekly. From my perspective, it looks like after this whole "Great Blitz Depression" is over, Harmonix will go back to business-as-usual.

Had I been in charge of the roll out, I would have released 2 Blitz tracks along with one new song bi-weekly and have a pack or excess singles filling in the gaps. That way Wii users and pick-and-choosers could have the Blitz tracks, and hardcore members of the community could still have their tradition of new content each week.
Thank you Harmonix for making Tuesdays worth rocking.

Let's all raise our glasses for five of the best years of our lives.

I'd like to know the same thing. This feels like the beginnings of phasing out Rock Band DLC, which, although it kills me to admit, I can fully understand from a financial/business perspective. Eventually profits and expenses start to go in opposite directions and the older your product, the more people start to migrate from your product when newer and fancier products starting hitting the marketplace. Just ask Nintendo about the Wii.

Thanks for all the fun Harmonix, I don't regret a single dollar I spent on the 2000+ songs in my Rock Band library.

And can I make a final request? "Thanks, That was Fun" by barenaked ladies would make an awesome final song to release as DLC when you get to that point. If you can make that happen, I'd be one of the happiest guys you could imagine.

Video game development is like life.

Every new beginning (new HMX IP) comes from some other beginning's (RB) end.

Now I'll just have to find who I want to take me home in a couple of months.
