Wow, is this happening just because of the weird holiday release schedule? Or are RBN songs often available from the XBLM before they can be purchased via the Rock Band store? Surely that can't be true ... because then, why wouldn't the official RBN announcements come out sooner than Thursday? Is it the full version that you can buy from the XBLM? And play on RB3 and Blitz? Is "Ordinary Objects" also there already?

Not only do I not own a 360, I've never even played on someone else's machine. Or even watched someone else play. So I have no idea how this magical XBLM works (though I hear that TRON used to be available in the Arcade, maybe it even still it?).

They show up on the Marketplace website (not through the XBox itself, I don't believe) whenever they get through quarantine. That can happen at any odd time, roughly 72 hours after it passes review. It is the full version, it's actually what the Music Store points to. The RBN announcement/release is Thursday so that the whole week's content can all be corralled and put into the Music Store at the same time, as that's a manual process.

I will note that songs which are on the Marketplace, but not in the Music Store, do not have Blitz leaderboards and as such will waste any coins spent on them until they're put into the Store.

"Ordinary Objects" isn't there, because it hasn't passed review or quarantine yet.

When the songs pass review from the RBN it then takes like 72 hours or something to go through the final check then it gets uploaded to the XBL store and then on Thursday HMX officially releases all the songs to the RB store.

I don't know why but that's the way it's been for a while now. They used to update the RB store like 3 times a week.

I still want to believe the streak isn't broken yet. The streak is only broken when a week comes with no new form of downloadable content is released for Rock Band.

That said, I'll stay pessimistic for the rest of Rock Band history. A pessimist is rarely disappointed.

This doesn't look so good. The difference between sales of at least a one new song week and a 0 new songs week will be significant. Ideally once the blitz songs are out we will be back to 3 packs every week but this almost feels like wishful thinking. If we are truly almost out of songs I would rather see just one new song released every week to give people a reason to get a new points card and use the excess on old songs. Tragic if we never see those Pearl Jam songs as well
Faith No More is a perfect fit for Rock Band 3 dlc
