Can't Connect Rockband Drums to Wii

I have Rockband 2 for the Wii (but playing on a Wii U through virtual console). The guitar (Harmonix Rockband) and Microphone (Rockband) are detected and working but the drums (Harmonix Rockband) are not detected by the game. The 4 blue lights just keep flashing and I have tried everything, including fresh batteries, resynching, powered off, etc.

I even connected the game to a Wii console but the drums still aren't being detected.
I have a Harmonix Rockband wireless drum set (model NWDMS2).

Please help, I have a 7 year old girl who is very upset the drums aren't working.

    Thank you!

Is the light on the dongle flashing?

Yes. When the dongle is plugged in, it detects the microphone and the guitar but not the drums. I've unplugged the dongle and tried reconnecting it but no change.

Are you using an unpowered USB hub? if yes try to connect it directly to the console, or on a powered hub. If it still doesn't work The problem could either be the dongle or the drums itself, if you can access another drums/dongle of the same type that works fine it would be a great idea to test them both.

Ok, my bad. I didn't realize there is a separate dongle for both the guitar and the drums. It turns out that I have the dongle for the guitar and not the drums. Need to find a dongle for the drums.

Thanks everyone for your input! Sorry for the confusion.

The dongles are usually expensive when sold on it's own, it might be cheaper to look for another drum, or try your luck on ebay. Be sure that it's the dongle for your drum's model, another one won't work.

    Good luck!
