I never saw Ted and haven't heard that song but Seth MacFarlane can sing.

I would be more confused that a song from Les Mis is on there. Aren't those the songs from the play? I don't think that counts as an original for the movie.

Yeah Seth MacFarlane is actually pretty great at musical pieces.

You're correct that it would be disqualified if it were from the stage show:

When a film is adapted from a previously-written stage musical, none of the songs from the stage version of the musical (and other sources) are eligible.

But at the same time...

As a result, many recent film adaptations of stage musicals have included original songs which could be nominated, such as "You Must Love Me" in the 1996 film Evita, and "Listen", "Love You I Do" and "Patience" in the 2006 film Dreamgirls.

So it's surely not from the original stage show at all.

I only recently found out it was called the bonus room when the heater blew the circuit. There is a pre-ironic label on it too... But I'm not sure where exactly, she's now living on a monastery somewhere in Texas. Of course in her fried mind, Texas might be a Loggins Roadhouse.

She's definitely my winner. I don't even listen to Adele but damn I love that song.
