And we would be remiss not to mention....Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
On what was originally known as The Learning Channel (I believe TLC is "officially" an orphan acronym these days, like IGN or WWE). Abominable.

She hasn't made it to that level and I think all those damn fairy tale shows are taking up her time now.

The program you're referring to is called Storage Wars. It's spawned two spin-offs! There's also Storage Hunters and Auction Hunters, but they're not the 'centerpiece programming' that Storage Wars is.
You gotta watch Hardcore Pawn. Now that is trashy TV. I can't tell who's worse on that show, the customers or the employees.

Tubbs has a new home
I saw those people on The Today Show in the breakroom at work one morning. They had three 'randomly selected' audience members show off their crap. One had a gold pocketwatch they appraised at $10k. I imagine that man went straight back to his home or hotel after the segment :S
Makes me wish anyone in my family owned anything of value ;/

Hear hear. Though in your case you create it yourself. In mine, I'll need lots of help/collaboration.
I like the writing portion, but as Tarantino said, its tough for a writer, because the director, producer, or actors can change it as they see fit so you can end up with a product that doesn't even resemble your original vision.

Read Dead is a bad video game
That's the nature of the beast. Film is by its very essence collaborative. One person cannot make a movie. At least not a very interesting oneThat's why the best scripts leave room for such collaboration. Do I have intricately detailed visions of how every microsecond of every beat should look? Ehh....some of the time. But unless it's plot-essential, it's best to leave the details out. They'll be filled in by the people whose jobs it is to fill it in.
