Oh, absolutely. Unless there'd be absolutely no other choice, I could never go back to working for somebody else.

I think I'd need the guidance. I'd want to kill my boss, for sure, but I couldn't make business decisions and I'm terrible at making my own deadlines. Working freelance would be an absolute train wreck, for me.

I'm the complete opposite. I have a real problem with authority figures of any kind, and I can't stand people ordering me around or micromanaging me in any way. I know my own strong points well enough to be confident in my decisions and the agreements I make with clients, and I know my own weaknesses well enough to know what to avoid or what to pass on to others (which is why I have an accountant, for example).

I'd never take on employees of my own, though. I can be an efficient (if occasionally harsh) leader, but generally speaking I consider working with others too much of a hassle, which is why I prefer flying solo like I do now.

So Lex, we all have noticed that moderator contribution to the forums has been down quite a bit the past few months. I know you guys all have lives outside of here, and maybe it's just coincidental that all of y'all seem to be scarce at the same time (whereas in the past, if one of you was gone, the others were still around), but my gut feeling is that this is just another sign of the inevitable slowdown of the franchise. I'm wrong though, right?
