Yeah, I really doubt that. Cipher may be egocentric and love everything everyone hates, but I sincerely think he's a good kid at heart, just an odd one.

He's just an arrogant fresh out of high school and into college kid that thinks the world revolves around him. Nobody expects you to be a shining glimmer of society at that level. As soon as the real world starts beating you down, you become a more modest person. I guarantee if any of you met me 6 years ago (my god did I really graduate high school six years ago... I'm old) You would have hated me.

Hell I'm still a jerk, but a much more realistic and restrained jerk.

I actually grew into being incredibly arrogant and egocentric recently, and as far as I'm concerned my quality of life has sharply increased. As for the world revolving around me comment, my own life sees my own problems at the center, so I guess do see things as revolving around me. However, I'm known to have the ability to make EVERYTHING about me according to my friends, which surprisingly enough isn't a criticism. I used to be incredibly modest and hated everything about it, so going back is out of the question.
