    purple note = no strumming required, ever. so kinda like HO/PO's only you dont have to hit the note before them to hit them without strumming. also known as tappy notes.

    open note is on bass only, and is basically strum without holding any button.

    Purple notes you can just tap. Open notes are on bass and are played by strumming only.

    Why? Is it because its our thing and we don't want a bunch of casuals jumping on the RB bandwagon saying they love it too when clearly they don't?

    Another question, should I expect to be able to play anything on Expert? The game does have four difficulties like RB, right?
