Yeah Zappa. One of my favorites too and from what I understand somewhat rare.

Also my copy says "Promotional Not for Sale" on it so I don't know if that means anything or not. I'll have to do some more research. The only reason I say that is because it's in fantastic shape. The cover is a little rough but the album itself looks like new.

Could actually be worth something. Not that I'd ever sell it.

nope, if you actually read what i said. which apparently nobody does, that makes the gameplay unique.
the balance makes the gameplay in that aspect very good.

they are 2 completely different types of gameplay. so no, it isn't better because you can't compare them. What I can say is that I have never seen any game do the gameplay in Serious Sam any better than Serious Sam itself. where the gameplay in Spec Ops is below average compared to other games with similar gameplay.

If long games feel like they're going on to long, then again, that is a mistake by the developer. (or you have the worst attention span ever, which there's nothing wrong with. but that would make this entire discussion pointless anyway.) he/she should've kept it interesting. and a game can easily be long and have variety.

You make it sound so easy. Keeping a 20 hours game interesting every second isnt easy. What is a game that you think does this well for 20+ hours?

2000 is larger than 20 so it can be included in 20+.

That doesnt count. Its not a story based game. Even if it did Id disagree that it did what Im talking about well.

exactly my point, developers are taking the easy way. which I don't blame them for but there's no way in hell i'm gonna like that.

As for games that do that, Megaman Legends 2, GTA Vice City, Fire Emblem (insert title here that i can't ever remember). Wolfenstein 3D, Doom. Doom 2 (hell, keeping 2 nearly identical games both interesting throughout the game simply by putting enough stuff to do in the levels without them feeling like a cheap quick sequel to cash in. even that can happen)

In Wolfenstein 3D for example. each level has multiple paths going in all sorts of directions. you could go to the exit straight away, and then you'd turn around to discover what was in the map for multiple reasons.
reason 1. score: extra treasure+kills = more score, also higher score usually =1-ups in those games, so you actually want to go for that.

reason 2. ammo. ok, this one is still in most modern shooters.

reason 3. secrets. secrets are more score. better guns, and simply give you an extra advantage in the next levels. also, secret levels which are a good surprise and keep the player interested. especially if the secret map is completely different from the rest of the game. (take the secret map in Doom2 for example. which brought you into a doom version of the 1st level of Wolfenstein 3D)

all stuff that make the size of the map worthwhile, keep it interesting,
and risk=reward (secret might contain 100 enemies) which also keeps things interesting

where as in modern shooters, you're lucky if you can even walk back at any given point. you are given all the guns and ammo right in front of you, when the game wants you to have them, and there's absolutely no reason to look around for anything other than enemies.
