Facebook's suggestions for sending Valentine's gifts are hilarious. It told me that I should get Rebecca a Starbucks gift...

...nice job, morons. If she wants Starbucks as a gift, she can get it herself while she's working there.

    Nice!

The missus and I celebrated V-day yesterday because the kids were away. I got her wine, chocolates and some scented candles. She took me out to lunch and then on a little shopping trip for a present that I won't divulge, this place being T for Teen and all.

I also got her a gift certificate from her favorite lingerie store, but I've decided to save that for her b-day this weekend so I could give her an actual physical present along with the spa weekend I'm treating her to at the end of the month.

    Good times.

Yeah, that works out pretty well, Lex... her birthday is three months from now, so I've got some time to plan what I want to do for then.

Isn't that more of a gift for you than it is her?

I actually think it's a shame V-day and my wife's birthday are so close together. We tend to go all out on birthdays, leaves less budget for Valentines. Especially since it's my youngest spawn's birthday in a few weeks as well.

The best thing about today is tomorrow. All that candy will be half off.
