Kate's former band mate had this crazy talented mind where she could speed up a riff inside of her head and think about what effects to add to it which is why they chose to do slower song covers.

We're actually equally good as guitarists, but at different stuff (he's better at flat picking, I'm better at finger picking). Also for Reptilia we were both on guitar and we constantly swapped between lead and rhythm.
