Rush isn't modern pop or rock so it would scare off customers. I remember in HMV once, Iron Maiden's "Brave New World" was one of the albums played and there were very few people present. When Muse's dubstep song (The 2nd Law: Unsustainable) came on afterwards, there was a large amount of people entering.
    Wishlist (possible artists):
    [4] The Killers
    [1] The Cure
    [7] AFI
    [3] Sum 41
    [11] Linkin Park
    [51] Green Day
    [9] The Offspring

I tend to frequent record shops that play crust punk and/or death metal. Rush would likely scare off the customers, but for the opposite reason.

I once walked into a gamestation (Sad times....) and overhead the store assistant shout "Oh crap, schools over!"

30 seconds later, cowboys from hell was playing on the store speakers. Place was empty of kids, full of adults.... I think they got lucky.

The first three songs on their last album sound like 3 completely different bands.

No matter. Still love it. HATERS GONNA HATE!

Not really - all three show, despite some peripheral changes, heavy Queen influence.

Not a bad album all told, but not one of their stronger ones, and definitely lacking the sort of superlative piece that made me like The Resistance as much as I did ("Exogenesis Symphony").

Oh don't get me wrong, it isn't their best work at all (Still is firmly between Origin and Absolution imo), but its a good listen. One of the most varied albums I own for sure and one I really cannot get tired of listening to. I'm still not a huge fan of the dubstep on it... but it's not a dealbreaker, and some of it's still good

Don't expect it to all sound like that one song. It really doesn't
