Black/White 2 not being 3DS games when the 3DS was already out and Pokemon Snap 2 not being the Pokemon game they just announced are 2 HUGE mistakes made by Nintendo having to do with Pokemon.

Just because they make a lot of money doesnt mean its 100% a good idea. I mean I think that is exactly how you feel about Call of Duty and they make assloads of money.

They wont release the old ones on the current systems because then people would just buy that and get their pokemon fix. This way they can still get money from people who aren't going to buy a 3DS no matter what. But it will never happen. Nintendo isnt known for good decisions when it comes to a lot of things, Pokemon especially.

Right now its the novelty of the device. WOOO!!! 3D!!! As compared to the fact you can get an itouch for around the same price as a 3DS and the games are much cheaper. Pocket gaming in a form that's just bulky to carry around is dying while you have a multimedia device capable of making calls, taking pictures, playing music, and connecting to the internet.

Of course Nintendo has its iconic little franchises, but we're getting to a point in society where we want our devices to do more. TV's now surf the internet and have a Netflix option, videogame consols are all trying to appeal with different optional features as opposed to just playing games, and unless Nintendo does some major restructuring on the form of its portables, they're going to be useless in the coming years.

The point and shoot camera market is one of the first that seem to be phasing out. Every device now has some for of camera built in so having just a simple camera has no purpose now. The high end ones are still needed mind you, but these one clicks will do out soon enough.

Sadly I agree with you.

I prefer point a shoot cameras to the more advanced cameras, but I can see where they will possibly be fazed out because today anyone can take shots with their cell phones. They don't need to buy a camera when they already have it in their devices.
