Dammit I hate my school.

Today in class we talked about the military's decision to allow women to fight in combat. Literally only me and one other student openly said it was an OK thing to allow them to do. Everyone else, including the teacher, pretty much gave "stay in the kitchen" arguments.

Here's my take on it. Combat isn't pro-wrestling, it doesn't need giant, roided out combatants. If a woman can meet the requirements and is willing to sacrifice her life in service of our country, I support them.

Exactly, that's pretty much what I said. Of course, everyone else's argument was that "Women are physically and emotionally weaker, men are for combat, women are for nurturing, thus it's not going with nature for the women to do combat." And it's driving me crazy. Even the girls in my class (except that one student I mentioned before) agreed with this. I have a feeling that we agreed with each other because she's not a Catholic and neither am I really, but that may also be beside the point. Anyways, I don't like my school because I don't agree with them.
