    Having built machines, it's not quite, but yes, I give you that Alienware does tack on something extra (though they also provide a pretty cool warranty too if I recall). But it's designed as a high end product. high end = markup.

    Also, I love my Asus gaming laptop. They have their place.

    If that place is in a box then yes. If you are going to buy a machine for gaming do not get a laptop. A desktop with similar specs will run things better than a laptop. Also laptops are meant to be portable and a 'good' gaming laptop is the opposite of that.

    So true, no better way to overheat a laptop than a graphics heavy game.

    Heck, my circa 2001 desktop would get so hot I pulled off the sides and usde box fans to cool it. Which did work awesome btw, just stupid as hell looking.

    I went to GameStop to get a new copy of Metroid Prime. I asked the employee if they had it cause their website said they did and he said no but he can see if he can order one for me. While checking he said that his computer did say they had a copy and he went in the back and got it . Only $1! No box but I can deal.

    I also grabbed Prime 3 for $5. Nice GameStop trip.
