Agreed here. I even have respect for Slayer even though they played a part in influencing one of my most hated genres of music ever created.
They all brought a breath of fresh air to heavy metal for better or worse.

All I want from Metallica in RB is "Enter Sandman" and "Battery" to help contribute to all disc songs (excluding Beatles) being available on RB3. If it doesn't happen I wouldn't be disappointed either as the most important MIA export songs were recovered over 2011 and 2012, namely "Spoonman", "Black Hole Sun", "Give it Away" and "Dani California" (+ "Monsoon" with regards to Euro RB1).

I'm neutral with most metal bands, but if we were to get Metallica, I'd buy it all. No question. The pack we have at the moment is really fun.

The only song by slayer I'll appreciate is raining blood, sheerly for the GH3 nostalgia.

For me, Metallica has suffered the same fate as A7X but to make it even worse is the well known getting kicked out automatically by the leader when you fail the "Ride the Lightning" or "Blackened" solo.

Also an unrelated note, "...And Justice For All" is one of the tournaments for this week, I have a feeling HMX is giving us a hint like with the 100,000 coin "Train Kept A Rollin'" goal.

Indeed. It suggests they weren't working from the same translation of the source, which seems wasteful (no need to have one work translated twice).

Twice? Ha. Thanks to the wacky world of copyright and licensing, as well as technical issues, any show or movie in a foreign language that gets subtitled, can and will usually have multiple translations. Once for the dub (if any), because that has completely different requirements than subtitles, then there's the cinema subtitles, TV broadcast subtitles (the network buys the rights to the feature, but not to the translation), dvd subtitles, (3D) blu-ray subtitles, VOD subtitles (all of these have different technical requirements and limitations that make straight ports difficult enough not to make them worthwhile)... I've translated the same episode or feature more than once on several occasions. I'm not complaining, though, since more work for me means more income. But it's a lot of semi-redundant work when you think about it.

I'm with Firedoom in the sense that of those 4, Megadeth is the only band I find even vaguely interesting... but even then I'm not a huge fan (and Mustaine being a bit of a jerk doesn't help). Then again, my tastes in metal do tend to be a bit more on the European side of things, although there are several US metal bands that I thoroughly enjoy (most notably Agalloch, Cynic, ISIS, Kamelot and Fair to Midland).

I actually prefer Anthrax over Slayer. Anthrax is like if Devo formed a thrash metal band.

But yes, Megadeth above all (or at least all that I know).

As for the "better" music argument in here. I can see both sides. some people think it's all opinion and some think it can be measured objectively.
Now i'm not going to go into my views or whatever, but i will say this:

Claiming something is "better" is an objective statement measured by facts. You can not say you think something is better in the context of "because it's my opinion". something can't be objectively better if it's all about opinions.

If you say you think something is better then you're saying you could be wrong about it.

If you believe it's all about opinions, the best you could say is "I like this better". because again, saying it is better would indicate there's an objective side to it. which would make you contradict yourself.

so yeah, I don't really care which "side" you're on. the only thing that bugs me is that^

What also matters is if you regard all opinions as being of equal value or not. I personally don't.
