    Can we just agree that everyone is usually going to have a different opinion on most things?

    when you say "I think x= better than Y" it simply means that you're not 100% sure about that. you can always follow up on that sentence with "but I could be wrong"

    When you say "X= better than Y" then it's a fact. so there are objective reasons for this which should count for everyone.

    When you say "I like X better than Y". then it's your opinion.

    It all depends on which word get the emphasis. If it's on "I" then it's a person stating their belief. If it's on "think" then the person isn't entirely sure.
