    I was never supposed to be brought on permanently at my work. They were gonna bring someone else on. I have 2 bosses that basically share one job (there must be reasons why one person can't do it, but I couldn't tell you what they are). I happened to show up one day when I wasn't actually supposed to, and each one thought the other had decided to bring me on while they themselves were thinking of a different person.

    So I wound up getting brought on permanently by accident.

    It was no reflection on my job performance, the person they "wanted" to bring on permanently had just been there a little longer than I had. But after they didn't schedule her for a week or two when they did schedule me, she basically dropped off the face of the earth. They were never able to contact her to give her the bad news.

    She had another job anyway, so I'm not feeling at all guilty about this. Frankly, I think I was due a break. It's just funny how it happened.
