I never said I need to constantly film for hours. Just that I'd like to.

It's a short film. I think I had some of you here read an early draft of the script. I just want whatever happens during the day of shooting to be caught on camera. Because it may just be remarkable.

Errr.... It looks ok for the price, but I'd be a little out off because there's no detachable lens. The quality might be ok, but that would depend on the light levels, the framing and wether or not you have it on a tripod

RockBandRocker: We will all migrate to the Dance Central forums. It will be like Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt.
Munnchy: Only Flashier, with impeccable dance moves.
RockBandRocker: With more glitter and glam. We will survive

I think a camera with the ability to change lenses is important. That way you have an upgrade path if you want to do some different type of shots in the future so you wouldn't have to buy a whole new camera.

Different camera angles, zooms, focuses. What ever you do do not get a camera with digital zoom. Digital zoom makes the image look really bad.

    ^

Different lens' are used for different shots. If I didn't have much room to shoot in, but a lot of stuff to get in the frame, I'd use a wide angle lens. If I wanted to get a close up but I'm a little too far away, I'd switch to a 50mm.

They can really help in certain situations

Now that's significant to me, because the scheme I want with the 3-camera setup, particularly with this first film, is Camera A keys on one actor, Camera B on the other, Camera C shoots wide. So maybe I don't want three of the exact same thing?

This is why there are usually different people for every part
