    Exactly. Gay and Lesbian Film is not a genre. If it's a documentary about Gay Issues then it's a documentary. If it's a romance film about a gay man then it's a romance film.
    Witticus: If your husband takes you to Gay Days at Disney and starts making out with Goofy and Pluto, you might have a problem.

    There are categories for "Witty Partner Comedies" and those are just comedies. Heavy Metal is still metal. Its just a sub genre that tells you more about what the content of the movie would be. So if a movie is under the "Gay and Lesbian" category you would know even if it is a Romance movie it is also a Gay/Lesbian romance film.
