Just ordered myself two new guitars, giving me a total of 4 working 5 button guitars + the mustang that I've never taken the time to learn how to play. Still have my drums and keyboard. I'll be at it for awhile yet. On;y thing that would stop me is by PS3 breaking down at a point in time where I could no longer get a replacement. That day is a long ways off I'd think.

Can I pay a dollar so I dont have to beat antibodies on hard ?

HMX would have mucho $$$ from me if we had that feature.

So long as my gear holds up or I can find usable stuff for when things need replacing, then I'll keep playing!

I dont really see myself not playing Rock Band at any point in my life while i still have the strength to do it... 25 now, been playing Rock Band since I was 20... I dont see myself stopping, likely ever.

If anything, if the game does die, I would like to see fans focus on bringing us drum songs on the PC.. unfortunately, I think most of the other instruments are too difficult to code, but i could see a fan made project (similar game for Keyboards/pianos called Synthesia is out there now) with it's own 'shop' set up with ratings for drum tracks.. possibly other instruments, but drums I think could be easily enough done and we could continue what rock band started for decades now.

Its an integral part of my life that has enriched it more than any other "game".

Rock Band isnt just a game, its an experience, a fullfilling experience that we would be fools to turn away from just because 'production' has stopped... If record companies quit releasing music tomorrow, I can guarantee you, I would still be listening to music til the day I die. Same with Rock Band.

Thanks though Harmonix, if it does come to an end. you guys are the best thing that the corporate world and markets have ever brought many of us, thank you.

Well, I voted a year, because that's where the 'Instruments break' are.

Seriously, if my guitars break then I'm not playing guitar anymore - it's rocksmith all the way for me on that part for sure. Now the drumkit... I've been thinking about a DTX500 for a long time, but I haven't coughed up the money yet. If the drums break, then I might do so, especially if I can find another game that will help me play the drums. Is there anything out there? DTXMania? BandFuse?

I'll still play it ever so intermittently, but the rate I usually play it might stop in, say, six months.

Simply, I have nigh bled the game dry. I've hit my peak on guitar, drums and vocals, and can't see myself getting much better on pro keys. The only instrument I haven't "mastered" is pro guitar, and I figure I might as well just skip ahead to Rocksmith for that.

I will keep playing just for the fun, but the investment is why I'm as ardent a player as I am. When that investment stops, so will my ardent play.

I've played very little of the two most recent Guitar Hero games, I might give those a try again. One dormant franchise is as good as another, eh? The only people that still play Rock Band with me only discovered the game fairly recently, and they aren't remotely close to sick of it yet. I could easily imagine continuing to play with them every 4-6 weeks for the next 1-2 years ... or until my instruments break. Pro Drums will probably be the first to go, as there's no way I'm paying $300+ for a replacement set.

There are SO MANY other games that have come out in the past 2-3 years that I've barely played at all. I feel certain that at least a few of them with capture my attention and fill that RB3 hole eventually. There's no predicting at this time which ones it will be.

Probably as long as I have a working 360 and a controller that works to play the game. It's going to suck when I can not longer play it due to one of the two conditions above not happening anymore. My Hard Drives have to be worth upwards of 5-7K combined with all DLC.

I just hope they release those PJ tracks that were found a long time ago when the RHCP tracks were found.

never. I love this game and hopefully the end isnt near. Even if they stop coming out with new content I have plenty of songs and there is plenty in the store to keep me occupied for years to come
    Wishlist:
Metallica:RB w/ Lead, Bass, Rythm guitar-w/pro upgrades for all
    harmonies, Keys/Pro Keys
    drums & pro drums

    and EVERY song!
