Create a character? This sounds like a cheap way to get 3rd parties without the royalties.

I think they meant that a character can be customized with stat boosts, not that you can make a character.

So first of all I'm confused! I know how the company got new comers, (Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, and the Villager) but does the game still have, Ness, Lucas, Falco, Ike, Marth, Olimar, Jigglypuff, Lucario, Mewtwo, Roy, Pokemon Trainer, etc.

As mentioned, Jiggly, Marth and Ness should return to the franchise since they're staples into the franchise. I would also like to say Olimar and Pokemon trainer are highly likely to return since you have the main character of a successful franchise, and a character who has 3:1 for Pokemon. Ike and Lucario are probably going to be replaced with Chrom and Meethree, respectively. Lucas and Falco were clones, but helped broaden their franchises so we will have to wait and see about them. As for Roy and Mewtwo, I highly doubt they'll return which is sad because I loved Roy. Maybe they'll add them as DLC to please people, but keep them off disc.

I agree with most of this... except when you said Lucario and Ike are most likely being replaced. I agree they are among the characters who have the biggest chance of getting cut (along with Toon Link, and Snake) but I don't think they are set in stone to be cut. Lucario is still extremely popular, and he appears in most of the trailers for new pokemon games (like the most recent X & Y trailer.) Ike is also very popular especially in the US, I think Chrom has surpassed him in popularity, but Ike still has the fact that he appeared as a main character in more than one game, the only other character who has done that is Marth..

I do agree that Roy has no chance to return, he is not that popular and from what I heard his game is considered one of the worst Fire Emblems. but I can see Mewtwo coming back... I assume with Meethree you meant Mewthree? right now we don't know how Mewtwo transforms into it... maybe he will comeback and then transform with the Final Smash... if not there is always hope that Mewtwo could be a costume for Mewthree

They could keep Lucario/Ike, but I can very well see them leaving. I do like the idea of Mewtwo FSing into Mewthree (yeah, typo), but once again who knows.

Chrom, although there was no direct link between the two. Although Chrom could learn the skill Aerher, that's the closest he was to a successor.

My logic is that for each SSB game the "other" Fire Emblem character has been the main character of the Fire Emblem game released around the same time as the SSB game:

Melee: Roy (FE game came about 4 months later)
Brawl: Ike (FE game came about a year earlier but Brawl was subject to many delays)

In the US maybe, but Roy came second in DLC for Awakening in Japan. He trumped Lyn, Erika or Ephraim in terms of order, so its not like he's nothing. Then again, they put the Pegasus Knights in over Minerva when she was royalty.
