By teenagers? Who ever is the hottest latest, then Carly Rae, then Aerosmith.

Isn't "All You Need is Love" the best-selling piece of DLC in franchise history? By like thousands of times over whatever's in second place (probably another Beatles song)?

And, you know, not Miley Cyrus, or Lady Gaga, or whatever ****ty pop was around (on RB) at the time?

Carly Rae's music, catchy as it is, is not likely to stand the test of time. Aerosmith's already has.

Edit P.S.: Ok, I was wrong. Some people have heard of him... and think he is horrible.
Yeah its a bit more for people that have heard of him than those that have not but the people that have heard of him seem to hate him. So its just like Facebook.

Also IGN has horrible SEO if I could not find that article through google. But I did find a forum post about it which had 9 posts 7 of which were "Rock Band still exists" posts.

    Then is not now.

So your point is Carly Rae Jepsen is some unique, transcendentally perfect snowflake that Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga aren't?

    Give me a ****ing break.

No Im saying that if Lady Gaga or Miley Cyrus had DLC next week it would sell better than other recent "old" music DLC, just like Call Me Maybe did.

But "old" music beat the absolute stuffing out of teeny bopper pop in 2009. It's not impossible that it could again.

Put another way -- is there any song by any artist that you think could even possibly outsell CRJ? Sure seems like you're arguing against the mere possibility.

And the "recent 'old' music" you're talking about is Sex and Candy, The Toadies and 2 underwhelming Elton John songs. Not Aerosmith. Get real.

Sales weren't even the original point I was making. My point was that an IGN article advertising Aerosmith DLC would get a bigger/more positive reaction than an IGN article advertising Andrew WK DLC. And I still do not doubt, even a little, this to be the case.
