It has a billion YouTube views (at least partially) because it's a video of a chubby dude dancing really, really badly. That doesn't help it in RB.

I'm sure it helps it's chances of selling well in RB3 at least a little bit.

Oh, no doubt. But it having more YouTube views doesn't mean it'd sell better than CRJ, or anything.
Vast majority of 5/6 packs had at least 2 upgrades included, while quite a bit of them had more than 2 upgrades.
Pro wise - this is not a royal treatment like you implied, two ups been the norm for 6-packs for a long time.
6-packs themselves are rare these days, let alone from a classic band like Aerosmith so let's celebrate everyone!

Almost literally no one buys pro upgrades.
You need to be thankful for what you're getting.
It is late, so I have to step away from this convo for now. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, www, but I simply disagree (as I have made clear). I will concede that some of today's teens may not recognize Aerosmith by name (would probably recognize some of their music), but I would argue those same teenagers would be even less likely to know of Andrew WK's music. I think if you polled any section of the population asking "who would you rather have for Rock Band DLC", Aerosmith would win over Andrew WK every time (and not by a small margin). That's my point of view and you probably disagree, but, whatever. That's ok.
