Read my posts again...carefully...and deduct whether I'm happy or not overall in the grand scheme of things regarding the two upgrades and this pack.
Hint - I very much am.
99% are, which is almost unheard of on these forums.

Couldnt agree more... what a fantastic way to lift the gloom thats been hovering around here these last few weeks. THIS kind of artist and pack is a worth a fortnights wait - hell its worth a lot longer than a months wait for many. These days its takes that long (a month) to spend 800MSP on RB songs, yet here i am now already set to spend that much again on a single tuesday.

Dream On is just one of those songs where the master is not going to be touched. If we, by some sort of luck, get more Rolling Stones before this thing ends, I guarantee Satisfaction will similarly be a live version.

And that's defenetly a good thing. Live Rolling Stones > Studio Rolling Stones, especially in terms of drums and bass gameplay. Satisfaction is one of those songs that are extremely repetitive in the original version, and varied but still awesome in live versions.

Pro upgrades also drive the sales of the DLC they are an upgrade to. It is rare that I buy a song other than one that has an upgrade, but I've bought every song that does have one. I'd be happy with lower quality upgrades if it meant we got more of them. I don't care if it matches the exact fingering the player used, if the notes match up that's fine. But given the likely imminent demise of new DLC I'll quote Rick Springfield and say "the point is probably moot."

If Dream On is your favorite Aerosmith song, I would think any version would be preferable to none. We have not, to my knowledge, ever gotten a live and a studio version of a song.

'Alive' by Pearl Jam ... studio version from 'Ten', live from 'Drop in the Park'.

And AC/DC - "Let There Be Rock" (RB2-noexport and AC/DC trackpack)
And Paul McCartney & Wings - "Band on the Run" (both as DLC!)
And Jimi Hendrix - "Fire" (Lego RB export, and DLC)

Yes, I remember that now. And Paul McCartney live version of Band on the Run. But it is not something I would hold out expecting with Dream On. I just don't think the master is available. (And I think Jimi had a song or two with live and studio? But it is not very common)
