Sales for Elton kind of prove it's not the greatest picks.

Don't Let The Sun.... 5,096 sales throughout the 3 consoles (in comparison, MCR had two more known "Hits" released the week after and they sold 6,000 and 7,000 so don't let the sun didn't do too bad.. but Tiny Dancer or Rocket Man would have done much better.)

The ***** is Back.... 2,944 sales throughout the 3 consoles, pretty bad sales considering most single songs now do over 3,000 at least. (of course it'll eventually hit 3,000 but i remember seeing it very low for a long time)

Sales provided by RBS, so of course they can be off if someone hasn't played the song etc.
    Wishlist:
    The Cure [1]
    Queen [28?]
    AFI [7]
    My Chem. [3]

I will be buying most of this pack (not sure about Lover Alot yet), but if they ever release another Aerosmith 6-Pack it should have:
Angel, Crazy, Cryin', Dude Looks Like a Lady, Love in an Elevator, Rag Doll

You can't be completely sure that "Tiny Dancer" or "Rocket Man" would have done massively better than "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me", after all it's the modern stuff which people want the most so they wouldn't have beaten "Helena" and "Teenagers". Look how well "We Are Young" has sold and that's a Blitz repeat.
    Wishlist (possible artists):
    [4] The Killers
    [1] The Cure
    [7] AFI
    [3] Sum 41
    [11] Linkin Park
    [51] Green Day

I don't see why everyone thinks the Dream On version is so bad. It's way better than Rock N Roll All Nite, at least.

It wouldn't have sold better than "Helena" and "Teenagers" for sure.

Hint - I very much am.
99% are, which is almost unheard of on these forums.
I "deduct"ed everything I needed to from your tone. Even in the most popular DLC release in months, you're still complaining about the supposed lack of pro upgrades (which are time-inefficient to create and sell like crap).

Good for you guys. Remember, we're the hardcore fans.

Unless everyone thinks Call Me Maybe would have sold five figures of upgrades had it gotten one?

    Yeah, pretty much that.

No I didn't "checked" the poll, because I haven't voted yet (I'm still not sure what exactly I'll be getting). But 1/3 of the tiniest sliver of the fan-base, that sliver being the hardcoriest of the hardcore, doesn't say much.

ROFLwut? Are there any pro songs other than RB3 on-disc that have scores in the thousands?

It's very very very very close to no one (hence "almost literally"). Or do you think 58 people getting the upgrades is actually a good number? You probably do, that's why you keep crying at HMX to crank out more when there's just no way that's ever going to happen again. You point to Queen and Def Leppard, well, when those packs came out ('specially Queen), pro upgrades were still a new thing. HMX were still trying to sell people on them. Nowadays they know that there's very very little market for them. So there's no reason to make as many.

It sucks for you. And it sucks that it sucks. No one's happy that this is the case. I'm sure there were two or three Wii'ers who religiously bought every RBN song that came to their console. That smart business decision sucked for them, too, but no amount of complaining about it will change anything.

Yeah, that. PM21, you have a very odd way of showing happiness. Yeah, I saw you say "let's all celebrate" but it was after a paragraph of "Y U NO MAKE MOAR UPGRADEZ HMX!" when all of us know why.

There's no way that's true on a wide scale. Maybe it is for you, but not for most.

I know pro upgrades don't sell like hot cakes, but I caution anyone from using leader boards to determine the number of sales. I've bought around 200 of them, and haven't touched 95% of them on my guitar. There may not be many others like me with the disposable income available to dish out the "measly" $.99 they cost to primarily be able to play the songs with a pro-band (and have them available for if/when I get the urge to play the guitar over the drums), but there are more buyers than just what the leader boards and what those few of us that participate in these forum polls show. Again, I know HMX isn't rolling in the dough on them, but they probably aren't losing their asses on them either. I'd imagine they'd cut them out completely if that was the case if only to be able to afford additional regular content.

There's a difference between stopping them altogether and demanding that every song that gets released have an upgrade.

For what it's worth, when I say only 5% of players play pro guitar, I go by the career leaderboards, not knowing how many of them played one song on Easy two years ago and how many still buy DLC regularly. I know not everybody is online, but the percentages are probably similar, with the leaderboards skewed towards people who buy DLC.

As for pro guitar driving sales of a song, any increase in sales is negligible and sometimes the pro guitar song is the worst seller of the pack.
