Actually I'm kinda glad this pack is released now...

instead of 2010 with all of the other big packs of big hits.

    Day 1.

OK, don't hold it against me if I don't buy the new songs or re-records / live versions that don't sound right — but I WILL check them all out first. I might just let myself get carried away and buy the whole pack.

Wow, did that ever catch me by surprise...If only my credit card weren't off limits for the time being...

As soon as it isn't, I'm so getting this. Even the new stuff! (horrible by pre-rehab Aerosmith standards, but it's still better than a lot of the stuff played on the radio today).

Charts (specifically for the new tracks) will determine if this is a pack purchase or a few cherrypicks, but either way I'm definitely buying something. With the addition of "Dream On", RB now has my four year old son's four favorite non-Christmas songs (along with The Jackson Five's "ABC", Bob Marley and the Wailers' "Get Up, Stand Up", and Meat Loaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light").
wow, your 4-year-old has good taste. i think when i was 4 years old my four favorite songs were "old macdonald", "london bridge", "mary had a little lamb" and "jingle bells".

And anybody trying to do the math to figure out when Metallica might drop is an exercise in futility. Would be a totally different negotiation because of the long standing agreement in which Metallica gained exclusive control over everything in Dec 2012 - that was a deal negotiated way back in 1994 - I'd have to believe it was at least referenced and noted in any Guitar Hero contract negotiation

    WOW!

A pack from a band of this caliber has been long overdue the past couple of months.

I know it probably won't change HMX's plans regarding DLC, but I hope it sells extremely well and shows that DLC for RB is still worth producing.
May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?

    Sweet.

I'm not a huge Aerosmith fan myself, but I dig this pack. My bass player, however, is a big fan, so the band will be happy.

If going to an every other week schedule is what it takes to get packs like this, I'm all for it.
