Andrew WK's discography is a smash hit album in 2001, a somewhat less successful album in 2003, an almost entirely unsuccessful album in 2006, cover album in 2008, piano album in 2009, 'nother cover album in 2009. And nothing since.
Yup, that sure adds up to teeny boppers fawning all over him.
Judging that there has been high comments on the Facebook discussion, and we have a 92.66% on Walk This Way with no rude posts here that I've seen, I imagine these will sell pretty good.

I think even the new Aerosmith songs will outsell Party Hard. I didn't read the comments to the Andrew WK article on IGN, but I bet it was a lot of "who is that"? Wouldn't happen if they did the same for Aerosmith, I guarantee it.

Why are you so sure? Carly Rae Jepsen he is not. Most of Carly Rae Jepsen's fans probably weren't even alive when "Party Hard" first came out. It's not a song they hear 50 times a day. It's not infectiously stupidly idiotically moronically catchy pop like "Call Me Maybe." This comparison completely baffles me.
Call Me Maybe would not sell that well if they had released it in 2022 (a la Andrew WK). It was one of the biggest songs of the last summer, it is still red-hot, of course it sold well. Whose music do you think will be more remembered in 2022, Aerosmith's or Carly Rae Jepsen's.

Edit P.S.: Ok, I was wrong. Some people have heard of him... and think he is horrible.
