    Problem with pro keyboard.

This is my first post ever, so I don't know where to put it.

Anyway I have a one month old MadCatz Rock Band 3 keyboard. Everything went find until today. When I turn it on, instead of working like a standard Xbox keyboard controller, it just turns on the midi lights like it's in midi mode. Is there anyway to fix this. It's not connected to anything.

No insult intended but did you try changing the batteries?

If it's not the batteries then it could require service. There's no reset button or anything on it. You might try connecting something to the MIDI port to see if you can sort of push the issue on the instrument. Then when you remove the MIDI connection it might default back to its unconnected to any MIDI devices state.

Other than that, it sounds like if you still have the receipt you might wish to return it, or if you're brave open it up.

This shouldn't put that much strain on your wallet.

You will need some kind of MIDI something or other to plug the other end into though to force the issue like I said.

I think your best move might just be to bring it back to the store for an exchange.

That's a good idea. Other than that there really isn't anything left to try and it might just fix it.
