2/12 DLC Discussion - Extreme, Nazareth, Peter Cetera, REO Speedwagon, Soft Cell!

HMXHenry, can get get a track time on "Tainted Love"? There's, like, 67 different versions of that song floating around, some of which include "Where Did Our Love Go" at the end. Are we talking somewhere close to the 2:30 original version, the 4:00 radio edit, or the 8-minute shebang that had everything?

I'll reach out to the Audio Team today, but the office is closed due to a storm warning so it may be harder than usual to reach people at home. The 8:58 extended dance cut seems VERY unlikely, and since both the album and single cut clock in around 2:34 - 2:41 that seems like the most reasonable assumption. I'll follow up when I hear back, possibly by Monday at the absolute latest.

These are all good songs. Nice.

It's unfortunate that they aren't a pack.

So the thing about releasing content from multiple bands on multiple labels is that they don't always want to play nice. The difficulty in licensing and bundling increases with every additional artist you add, which is why, historically, we've released very few mixed artist / label packs.

Just calling this out since it's 1) awesome and 2) kind of unusual: the Pro upgrade is bundled with the Extreme track for FREE. When charting out the song and looking at the instrumentation available (it's not a full band, only vocals and guitar I believe) we thought it'd be a nice bonus to include the Pro upgrade to add a bit of additional value to the track. Hope you guys dig it.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the livestream next Monday where we'll be singing these sultry tunes for you during the chart preview.

This is a very nice treat for the Pro guys. And helps "beef up" a track that might have never been released (due to lack of other parts). Great job.

Please keep this in mind...if this is the only way to make "Dust In The Wind" someday in the far future...

You guys never disappoint on the VD songs - great job - picking up all 5.. only question - does the tainted love version mix with "where did our love go"?

Definitely 4/5 because this is drunken rock cheese at its finest and should make for some grand hilarity. Going to listen to the rerecord and see if this will become 5/5. Awesome week, V-Day's songs are always the best weeks for RB.

That a song as mellow as "More than Words" is from a band named Extreme...and that's the song their best known for...makes it so awesome.

Only had to Google Peter Cetera and once I did I recognized it right away. Might have to get the whole set over time. But Extreme and Nazareth are probably top two faves.
