Simmons SD7PK...

I'm thinking about getting this set, is there any problems with this set that anyone knows about? Will I need anything else besides the Midi adapter for it to work with rockband? Also, can you upgrade it at all? Thank you for the help in advance!

A quick search showed that the Simmons SD7PK does not allow you to change the midi notes it sends. The game looks for one of a specific set of midi notes for each drum/cymbal. There is a list of the notes that are looked for that you can find somewhere here on the forums or from the Midi Pro Adaptor manual. You'd then have to find out what notes the SD7PK sends to see if they match up. I couldn't find the numbers before I got tired of looking. If they don't match up, the SD7PK won't work for Rock Band without some more workarounds.

If you are able to find the list of what midi notes the Simmons sends, I'll find you the manual for the MPA. I wrote down an incomplete list recently because the Akai MPD18 is my new drum kit (it is just pads you hit with your fingers) and I needed to tell it what notes to send, but you'll need the full list.

Musician's friend is fine as a site as far as I know. Has been around for a while.

Yeah, I had already skimmed through that manual and didn't find the answer. What you want to know is "What midi note does each drum from the sd7pk drum set send to Midi Out?" Maybe there is some forum of users of the drum set that can answer it.
