How have I just read through this entire thread without one person mentioning

Styx - Come Sail Away

This song is everything RB3 is about and should have been on-disc in the first place. If DLC ends without it in the library it will be a crime.

But yeah- closing time, dont you forget about me, american pie, the end. they all fit very well. I'd still much rather come sail away.

Has anyone from HMX hinted that the last song was a well thought out choice that somewhat relates to the fact that it's the last Rock Band DLC? Or are people just assuming?

With that frame of mind I choose this song mainly for Ray Davies talking intro... and also because it kicks serious ass: The Kinks - All Day And All Of The Night (Live)

Now in all seriousness, since the store will remain open and the game playable for as long as you have instruments, I don't think songs referring to "ending" or "closing" would seem appropriate. A song referring to keeping on keeping on seem like a good fit. I think Neil Young "Rockin in the Free World" as mentioned already would be a great choice.

Given that HMX keeps on saying that Rock Band will not be dead once DLC ends. I will choose my prediction for the final song to be:

Evanescence - "My Immortal" (the single version with guitar, bass and drums appearing near the end)

Even though it probably won't happen, Separate Ways by Journey would be a great way to finish in my opinion.

These would both be instant purchases for me, both pretty awesome

If HMX wanted to do a fitting theme to the end of DLC, this song would fit in with that theme.

Yes, it has a smaller chance of happening than HMX changing their minds and continuing weekly DLC and even if that somehow happened it probably wouldn't sell like hot cakes unlike the DLC of pop songs but a song like this would actually be epic.
