my guess is American Pie or Closing Time, but I'd also pick Wherever You Will Go by The Calling just because of the lyrics

Has anyone said "God Gave Rock and Roll To You" yet?
5+ years, 4,000+ songs, 1 awesome developer. Thank you!
If there's three more weeks of new releases, and the final week is a single song, that means were very likely down to the single digits for new songs on the platform. For ever and ever.
"Rock Band is literally a house full of cheese burgers" - Aaron Trites, 2nd Earl of Community
Not really a "the beat goes on" kind of song, but I'm going to take a swing at this and say maybe the Jeff Buckley version of "Halleluiah". Not for the whole band of course, but still would be a pretty nice finisher.

We have four weeks, so if we get three songs a week and one song the final week, we'd have exactly ten songs. But it's also possible that we'll get a two-song week.
Anyway, it was said on Twitter (I think) that the final song is not Welcome to the Jungle, and as of the livestream the other day, it had already been correctly guessed. I'm placing my bets on Closing Time, which would make for the least disappointment if it turned out to be something else. I'd rather expect Closing Time and get American Pie than vice-versa.

I've listened again to the suggested songs and I'm going to put all my chips on "When The Music's Over" by The Doors.
Lyrically it's the best fit.

I have a feeling it's American Pie, since Guitar Hero got it so long ago and a keys chart would be awesome.
Closing Time would be hella disappointing. We're talking about The Day the Music Died here!

Simple Minds - "Don't You (Forget About Me)"
Don McLean - "American Pie"
Semisonic - "Closing Time"
So sad that we'll probably only ever have one of these, at most. Even that is beng optimistic. So many great songs we'll never get... At least we've gotten thousand of great songs already!
So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, good night.
Rock and Roll, godfrakkingdamnit.
Since I saw the Store would close, I thought they should close doing for [CENSORED] as they did for AC/DC, with a standalone Track Pack.
I know they don't like it, but it seems like HMX is just too afraid of insisting. If I was there, I'd keep trying even if [CENSORED] slapped me with a restraining order and/or sued the pants off me. After all, why should we keep treading the safe path? Life's not worth a thing without taking risks - a leap in the darkness, as it were (hence why they call it "leap of faith" - you need to have faith that you'll land it).
And don't anyone give me that "not gonna happen" crap. I'm sick and tired of listening to that same pessimistic drivel. I'm not just a blissful idiot, I've put some thought on the matter after analyzing everything that has been said about it, and I concluded that it CAN happen, as long as you know how to do it. That's not to say I know (I'm no RP), but I do have an idea at least.
So that's why I want a [CENSORED] Track Pack so that Rock Band can go out with a bang. And, since Rock and Roll is the last of the 16 songs on the album, then I guess it'd automatically be the final song.
Petra or KISS?
