Wired Rock Band Drums no power

Got the whole set on Craigslist. Said it was all working but was in storage since last summer. Got it all really cheap so I didn't test and took all as is. Everything works but the drums. I plug in and no green light, nothing. dead. I took it apart and everything appears all intact and almost new. No wires disconnected Doesn't appear to be many others with the same problem as I cannot find anything on google like this. I saw a thread on here but it was never answered.
Could it be the little board that sits inside the dpad area? I've been searching and havn't found anywhere you could buy this part. Anyone know where you can? I would like to fix it if I could. Probably would never buy another one, new or used... we'll just trash it if it can't be fix. Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately there are no parts available other than cannibalizing other kits.

It does sound like a broken power lead/trace or the like.
All I am offering is the truth... nothing more...

thats to bad. I ended up buying another set off of craigslist. I plugged it strait into the xbox and the green light turned on. It was amazing to see after working with the dead one. Now i'm a complete idiot. I unpluged it and began plugging in the USB hub that the other set came with, plugged the guitars and mic in, and then nothing. So the USB hub must not work. But now the new drum set I just got doesn't either!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plugging it strait into the xbox its DEAD! just like the other one! i'm so angry. Could it be the USB hub fried it? Thats all I can think of! But then why do the guitars and mic still all work? Just the drums are dead. I don't understand!! What am I doing wrong? don't you just plug the stupid thing in and the green light comes on? It seemed to at first! This has been a total waste of time and money. Drove all around. Just to play this stupid game!! Kids are so disappointed. I wouldn't even know what parts to pull together to get a working one...
