How bad does someone have to be for you to boot them for skill?

I sometimes get booted after a set, perhaps for skill level?? I am in the top 1% of RB3 xbox scores for Guitar and Bass, but am not one of the super awesome players who ace difficult solos, etc.

I started playing rhythm music games after RB3 came out, and I also realize that the leftover players now are probably almost all in the top 5% or so.

I only boot someone if they are obviously less skillful but insist on playing guitar EVERY time. A drummer or singer I pretty much never boot (unless there is feedback from their mic which makes the songs mostly inaudible).

So if you are doing quickplay and playing with randoms, at what point do you draw the line?

I have about 350 songs total, so perhaps some people boot me because they want to play with the 1500 song people? But most of the people I get on Quickplay don't have even 1/10th of the DLC that I have, and the likelihood of them having a bunch but just not having any of mine seems remote.

I never play with randoms anymore...but when I did, I never booted anyone on the basis of skill. (I never hesitated to boot people with attitude problems, though.)

I don't play with randoms anymore. But back when I didn't have people to play with on my friendslist, I played with anyone. Only booted dicks who removed my picks, overpicked or picked Dragonforce or Free Bird.

Oops, misread question as I thought it was about why we get booted rather than why we booted people. That is what the below comment is about:

It was rarely skill based for me either, instead it was the A7X spam. If you chose a song not by A7X, you would be automatically booted. As for a recommendation, us community members would generally be willing to play RB with you and hence you wouldn't need to play with randoms online.

As for me booting people, I will only boot you if you spam A7X songs.

I haven't booted anyone for anything yet. I've never even bothered to figure out how to do it.

I will leave if someone insists on making set lists with songs that have no keys (I only play pro keys online).

It obviously depends on the randoms. I personally never kick anyone, nor do I really leave a setlist early unless there are uncontrollable outside events.

I'm guessing if you can at least pass the songs chosen on your difficulty you should be fine. Just make sure that if some jackass picks Afterlife or Constant Motion to choose your difficulty accordingly.

I have never kicked anyone, but have been kicked quite a few times myself, probably because I can't fc all the crazy solo's.The chances I get to play with 2 daughters makes it hard for me to catch my online friends so I play with randoms even though randoms can be frustrating I just love playing the game and will continue as long as possible.

I don't think I've ever booted anyone primarily because of their skill. The number one reason I booted people was either a) they had no DLC or b) they picked crappy songs.

And sometimes they were all 3, had no DLC, picked crappy songs, and had no skill. I'm sorry, but that's 3 strikes and you're out.

I only boot people if I'm in a 3 or 4 person band, and its one person that has no DLC and picks Free Bird, Crazy Train, etc. Other than that I just leave if I'm the band leader and no one in the band had dlc.
