I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with it, I was just stating that the original poster's insinuation that the DLC is going to be all modern stuff such as Fall Out Boy and Coheed and Rush here and there is simply not the case so far. We haven't seen a track from FOB (I'm sure we will) and only just recenty got one from Coheed. We have already seen Rush on two separate occasions and on two different weeks. I think they are the only artist with that distinction so far.

It won't. Not even close.... there are some bands you just CAN'T duplicate... Coheed is one of them. I was really pissed when it said that the Coheed track was going to be a cover. Thats about as lame as it gets. I have no idea why you can have one master track and then a bunch of covers.... If its a licensing thing, then shame on the record company.... I won't buy it and its a good song. I'm a huge Coheed fan.

im pretty sure it is a licensing thing cause a merger happened with activision and vivendi i think that what is and that company owns a lot of bands with different label companies so now guitar hero has the rights to alot of master tracks so im not sure if coheed is in a record company that is associated with them but that could be a problem see im still pissed off about the guitar patch for the ps3 gh guitar see i only bought the game so i have an extra guitar but the damn thing doesnt work and i know harmonix made the patch got it approved but activision pretty gave them a huge **** you and wont let them do it but activision says its mtv games and harmonix's fault that they wont talk so i know harmonix made gh but now i cant stand activision is going to ruin the game like they did with tony hawk cod 3 and probably more

Well, if the PS2 version remains popular enough, there's probably a chance they'd get a "rock the 80s" style disk that had highlights from the year's DLC for PS2 users. It wouldn't be unreasonable. There's still tons more PS2s out there than PS3s and XB360s combined, and new PS2s are still outselling new PS3s.

I totally agree. Both of the Rush covers are good musically, but man that guy's voice just rubs me the wrong way. It's pretty terrible. But, to be honest, when you're into playing the songs you don't notice as much. I certainly wouldn't want to listen to those covers outside of Rock Band though. Oh well, better to have a sub-par cover than nothing at all. If it was a question of extra cost due to Canadian red-tape or whatever I would have been willing to pay something like double price for the original versions of Rush, because let's face it, nobody can do Geddy Lee.

Yeah, that drove me crazy the first few times I played the song. I had to actually break out my Good Apollo CD just to make sure I hadn't made up my own lyrics. I had no idea Coheed had recorded a radio-friendly version of the song.
And this definitely doesn't make any sense for why Ten Speed is a cover, I can't think of any "Explicit" language in it.

This whole thing is quite hilarious. The word 'emo' just has some kind of bad connotations associated with it. So, often people will just call something emo if they don't like it. Also, anything labeled emo, inappropriately or not, will automatically be hated (see Dead on Arrival, a song that is clearly not emo... I mean, if DoA is emo, then so is all of Blink-182 and by extension all punk songs).

The whole music genre label system is completely out of whack though. If you think about it, emo should be any song that's sung over-the-top emotionally. So, stuff like Wanted Dead or Alive would fall in that category, but instead it's used for songs that may be liked by guys who wear eyeliner or some other arbitrary means. I guess the real question is, should we even consider 'emo' a music genre at all? I say no, otherwise you should start labeling all 80's metal, rock, etc. just as 'mullet-rock'.

The songs at two dollars are already a steal, I don't think an extra dollar is a big deal. Think about the fact that an MP3 costs a dollar, and then look at the amount of work that Harmonix puts into these. Wow, I mean WOW! Programming in easy, med, hard, expert not just for guitar but also bass, vocals, and drums. Four tracks times four difficulties plus figuring out overdrive-building note placement and drum fills. It's really amazing how cheap we get these songs.

Also, we're poor here in the US. You Canucks have it good up there.

Its good to know whats coming out in the next two weeks. IMO Working Man is a much better song than limelight. Ill have to listen to the Oasis song though, never knew much about them.
