I think a more accurate description would be dragging up an old thread simply for the sake of bringing back an old thread.

You'd have had to hunt for this sucker with all the other "best moment in 'xxxx game' here" threads, so you know he just went to the last page, picked a thread, and typed a reply to it.

I was always under the assumption "Necro Posting" was just bringing back threads that have been way past their prime (i.e. this one. Didn't realize it was started on August of '07)
