See, this is why I love this game. This week I'm not thrilled about any of the songs, but I know that the one girl in my band who likes to sing popular stuff is going to love Roam, the guy who likes older stuff is going to be thrilled about more Kiss, and while nobody is going to like the Faith No More song I'm glad to see another completely unobvious choice. I know that one of these days the obscure song that everyone hates will be that song that makes me poop myself with happiness.

I couldn't agree more, you aren't going to like everything so there is no point complaining about what you would prefer. They need to appeal to EVERYONE.

Woah woah woah.... didn't you just finish saying not everyone is going to like everything that is released so not buying it speaks louder than words on the forum?

First of all if you are going to be a hypocrite at least get your facts straight. 4 out of 12 songs on that list are "trash metal" as you put it. So it's hardly just a bunch of thrash metal. And how do you know how many people will buy them? And so what if only 10% buy them. Just because you don't like the genres in the month of march doesn't doesn't mean it lacks diversity. You should practice what you preach.

you guys need to start releasing more songs per week if possible. what you have, is pretty much an itunes store for rock band. so you should bring IT! at two dollars a song you really have no need to ever make another rock band game. EVER. in fact, you would LOSE money if you did. lol. especially from people like me who buy all the songs. and i'm getting a little impatient. i really may have to leave some songs at the store... and its a shame, because i really love this game. besides work, school and bars, this is what i do when i have any spare time. parties all the time with this game. its hard getting all these songs that no one knows how to sing. now all of a sudden, we have to take the singer off, cuz they don't know the song. i guess what i'm trying to say, is who is your main target market? is it late teens? mid twenties? early thirties? especially on weeks you plan on releasing a "thrash" pack or a "metal" pack or a "alt" pack (which would be interesting) you should release singles as well... we need some more top 10 songs or something. some more current stuff as well... if you're going to try and be all over the place we really need more releases. the way i looked at it this game should never get old. now all of a sudden... i feel like its getting old fast...

Your girlfriend needs to practice up... As do you. There's no rule against singing a song that was originated by someone of the opposite gender... And the game makes it quite easy to do by allowing for octaves. If your girlfriend really only sings the female songs, she's missing out on some of the best music in the game. And there are plenty of high-pitched male singers in there too.

Why don't you heed your own advice and just not buy the "trash" metal? A lot of people are very much looking forward to it, as we have had very little in the way of heavier songs.

Seriously though, this is a good mix of songs. Not sure on the Kiss one, but the rest are actually pretty good.

    Seriously? No really.... seriously?

I have bought every song so far, with the notion that at least one person who comes over to play will like it, even if I don't (which is about 95% true.) I also even rushed out to get the OXM mag to get those bonus songs, even though I knew no one would really want to play them. There were songs out there, so I had to add them to my library...

Then 2-5-08 happen, the week where the ever expanding library stopped growing. I am all for diversity, but this is horrible. I agree with one of the previous commenter's when he was like, "who is your target audience?" I mean seriously.... Roam??

There are music gems from every decade that I would love to see, but either these are the only songs that HMX could afford to get the songs rights to (right....) or someone must be paying them to upload this garbage. These songs are atrocious.
