Actually, go ahead and "complain" there are valid "complain" and invalid "complain" in some cases. A lot of this is opinion, 7 songs you didn't buy? Sure seems like they are doing a bang up job. I don't think it's Harmonix job to make sure:

FatWilma and xxpigxx are happy and content.

It seems I have bought LESS DLC than you have FatWIlma, and I'm happy. Why? Well because I actually have something TO buy that is worthwhile for me and my friends. I didn't buy this much crap for GH2, nor do I even buy that much DLC for any game.

Save your money, keep requesting your favs I'm sure HMX isn't stupid or "weird eccentric muscians with weird tastes" (It's more likely they have 'broader' palette for music, only a close minded individual would say it's 'weird') they know who the "big names" are and what the big hit singles are. There's more red tape involved in making songs than both of you realize.

And if next week you puke on your shoes because the DLC is a New Pornographers DLC pack, oh well, I'll be buying that pack too.

Scroll down to the very bottom of any page. You'll see a row of links ("HELP", "GAME SUPPORT", etc). The very last link in that row is "REQUEST SONG". That'll take you directly to the form.

Read damnit! It is not that I want "X" band or Timmy wants "Y" band. It is the fact that this is crap for DLC.

Once again . . . where in the hell have you ever seen B-52's, Dr. Love, or We All Care in the Ultimate Setlist or requested music?

When you hear Rock Band . . . do you think B-52's?

When you hear Faith No More, do you think We All Care?

When you think KISS, do you think Dr. Love?

For 78% of us, the answer is NO

First of all, forget any pretentions that you speak for the majority. You don't. You speak for yourself and yourself only.

Secondly, do you honestly think Harmonix has the "pick of the litter" when it comes to what songs they can license/release? Just because they got a few Maiden or Sabbath songs doesn't mean they have the rights to all of them. I'd love to have all of Pink Floyd's MEDDLE album available for play, but I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon (mainly due to few players who'd want to do all 20-some-odd minutes of Echoes... but I digress.

I will say it again: VARIETY will keep this game alive. It also has a secondary effect of introducing people to music they wouldn't give the time of day to before.

And "Roam" is as valid a Rock Band song as, say, "Maps" or "Brass In Pocket" or "Orange Crush". Personally I'd love to see more classic New Wave / 90s Britpop bands in the game, like Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, Blondie, Blur, Oasis, etc.

I haven't liked or downloaded EVERY DLC tune available, but I've come to the realization that IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT ME. You should try doing the same. I can't *stand* Faith No More, but I'm not gonna whine about it ad nauseum here.

Oh and since you asked me about what KISS song I'd want when I think of KISS, it would easily be either "Hard Luck Woman", "Shock Me", "Cold Gin", or "Kings of the Night Time World". But I have absolutely *ZERO* problem with "Calling Dr. Love". It's a classic tune that has practically been on every tour since they reunited in makeup. So again, what's the big freakin' problem?

Even if the produce is bad, that's partly because we had a terrible rainy season and you can't blame the supermarket for that. Besides, the only other store in town has nothing but moldy bread and expired mayo.

Don't turn it around. I asked who requested those songs. I do not mind more FNM or more KISS either. But there are way better songs than those offered. That is the point that you people can't seem to grasp.

Actually, it is. If FatWilma and xxpigxx and 78% of the people do not buy DLC, it will cease to exist. We are the customer. They exist because of us. Welcome to the real world. The past DLC is irrelevant. The point is that this week's song choice is ridiculous.

ANd you are the expert, right? As I stated before . . . David Grohl is on board. What about some Foo Fighters or Nirvana. Instead, we get 2nd rate songs that next to no one requested.

I am not close minded. Sorry, but you keep reverting back to that, and that is simply not true. I like all the bands for DLC so far, and I even like most of the songs (save for one of the first ones . . . forot what it was). That even includes this week's bands. I DO NOT LIKE THE SONG SELECTION.

It is not a broader pallette. If you read most of the posts on here, they are basically . . . "Not my first choice from said band, but whatever."

And if next week you puke on your shoes because the DLC is a New Pornographers DLC pack, oh well, I'll be buying that pack too.

i personally have the best taste in the world. seriously. no one knows what is better than i do on any topic. for example, i have given 'roam' my personal blessing this week, in hopes that it leads to 'rock lobster'. oh, to be able to play along with the last part of the full version - dreamy.

as for kiss? hey - i was there. while led zep was destroying disco, kiss was prancing around playing terrible, simplistic songs whilst wearing kitten makeup. it was a band designed to appeal to little girls plain and simple, and that is exactly who bought their albums.

the third band is apparently an unsuccessful abortion, so i will not comment.

People really need to drop that 78% thing. The RB forums are a self selecting group, and the people that post in the weekly DLC threads are even more so. These announcement threads have become a furious mental masturbation exercise of 'why doesn't the RB soundtrack not match my ipod playlist exactly? I sent that playlist to you a thousand times! What's wrong with you....' with a chorus of agreements from people with vastly different ideas of what's 'acceptable' for DLC anyways.

Much of your "78%" is a portion of a portion of a portion of a very specific subset of fan that hasn't been chased off by the recent spat of DLC announcement threads becoming progressively strangled by a pathetic mob who come running in every week just because they think that since a HMX employee has been active in it, their childish demands and axe-grinding will have a better chance of getting noticed.

yes Dvlos, it is my opinion, thats why i posted it, becuase i have one. and as i said, i KNOW i'm not the only one that feels this way. the dlc was solid at first, but i am becoming increasingly concerned for the future of it.
