...bah...c'mon guys...did people actually vote for these songs? Jesus...
How about doing more modern music instead of the old stuff....i'd be more willing to buy more music if you'd do more music in the last 4 years instead of 10 years ago.
well music started sucking again in the last 4-8 years. there was the whole emo movement and nu metal and american idol = lame tuneage everywhere. granted there are still awesome artists around, but everyone i know (im in the 23 age group demographic) regards the 90's music, especially the alt rock/grunge scene as highly as the 70's. thats just my opinion.
i would have rather had rock lobster instead of roam, but still a rad and interesting choice. i love kiss, so its a no brainer, but kinda bland, i would have opted for love gun. and the fnm song is pretty awesome, but again slightly bland on the guitar end, although it does have its moments. i still give high praise to hmx for giving such a diverse dlc. i wont allways like the dlc's but they release at least 3 every week, and their choices are allways good to most people.
Uh 10 years?
No offence but what song available this week was from less than 20 years ago?
I just figured out what everyone's two major problems are with music in the past (7 to 8 years).
One
You people mistake music on the radio as the only music that ****ing exists.
Two
You honestly think that Fall Out Boy fits in the category of "Emo".
Why is that such a problem? Because that throws your entire perspective of the whole situation off. Fall Out Boy is as much "Emo" as Back Street Boys is "Rock n Roll".
Stop listening to the radio.
Rock is defined as having a ****ing guitar drummer and singer. It's pretty wide range. You are mistaking Rock for "Rock n Roll" and "Metal", just because it's from 2005 doesn't make it not fit the genre of Rock, almost all music fits that genre.
My guess is you're in the range of 30 - 50, at this point in your life you would think you would have the mindset above a 10 year old. I guess not. What was "Rock n Roll" seen as by older people when it first started?
The same as newer music now?
Whoa.
What a concept that we actually learn from the past eh?
I think it's about time they start selling some of these songs for .99 especially covers. ALL covers and songs like siva, we care alot, etc. should be .99, i.e. songs by popular well known bands who have had some hit songs yet the song they release is not one of their better songs. This might ease some of the complaining. I'm a pumpkins fan yet I haven't bought Siva, it's not one that I'm looking for from them.
As far as Roam goes that's a definate 1.99 song. It was a top 10 hit by a popular band.
Calling Dr. Love I'm on the fence about. Kiss is a supergroup in regards to fanbase, record/ticket/merchandise sales, but this song is a tweener as far as top songs for them goes.
I NEED LIVE, Soul Asylum, Collective Soul, Sponge.. MOAR 90'S!!!! I usually drunkpost.
